How It Works

Wet compressed air enters the separator tangentially, creating a high-speed swirling motion inside the chamber. Centrifugal force drives heavier water droplets outward against the wall, where they collect and drain downward. Common Uses

Ideal as a pre-treatment unit in compressed air systems, gas lines, and industrial gas purification—effectively shielding dryers, filters, and downstream equipment from moisture and debris.


FAQ

Q1: Why doesn't the separation efficiency reach 99%?

Cause: The inlet air flow rate exceeds the design range (too low or too high).

Tilted installation causes water backflow.

Solution: Select the model based on the rated flow rate and ensure vertical installation.


Q2: What should I do if the outlet air still contains water?

Checkpoints: Is the automatic drain clogged? (Manually test the drain function).

Is the internal baffle of the separator damaged? (This requires disassembly and inspection.)


Q3: Can it separate oil mist or ultrafine particles?

Limitations:

It only effectively separates liquid water/oil droplets ≥5μm. Oil mist requires a high-efficiency filter.

Solid particles require a pre-dust filter.


Q4: How often should the wastewater be drained?

Recommendation:

Manual model: Drain once per 8-hour shift.

Automatic drain: Check daily for proper operation.


Q5: Can it replace a dryer?

No! It only removes liquid water and cannot lower the dew point of gaseous water vapor. The back end needs to be connected to a cold dryer/adsorption dryer to obtain dry air.
