The ICV-120 Intake Valve (also known as an air inlet valve) is a key control component installed between the air filter and the compressor airend in screw air compressors. It regulates the volume of air entering the compression chamber and controls the compressor's loading and unloading cycles.
Designed for compressors with a flow capacity of approximately 20 m³/min (typically corresponding to 110–132 kW power range), the ICV-120 features a normally open (N/O) design with an integrated check valve to prevent oil blowback at shutdown. It is widely used as an OEM replacement or retrofit component for industrial air compressor systems.
Key Benefits at a Glance
Prevents oil contamination and spillage
Fast response (<0.3 seconds) for stable pressure control
Low pressure drop for energy savings
Built-in unloading protection
Direct replacement for major compressor brands
Applications
From automotive assembly lines to food packaging facilities, the ICV-120 keeps large industrial screw compressors running efficiently across manufacturing, electronics, textiles, mining, and more.
